With the height, I plan to have the mid horn set around 1200mm with tweeter below, eg 900mm.
These will reside on a timber or metal stand I'll fabrecate miself.
What are some important considerations here?

If you read Danleys paper, you see that the lower you go in frequency, the more this device turns into a direct radiator. He just vents the HF drivers from the throat, more or less optimised, the midrange drivers a bit further out and the LF drivers ...

Bass horn sub now fitted underneath, with false shelf added for the righ hand side mid bass horn.
The extra height is good....90cm to floor for tweeter, 110cm for the mid horn.
Just a nice BIG wall of sound...wit...

I'd put your sub horns above your head. There are some big issues with that but you save a lot on concrete engineering, and assuming space remains in future you could apply what you learned from the overhead wood horns to a more refined bass setup. O...

I just picked this up and can't seem to figure out what it is. There are no stickers or lables on them, the driver flange has 6 threaded holes to bolt on a driver....

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a Jabo KH-55 horn for hf/upper mid, so I think I'll have to experiment with different size chambers. Beyma quote the volume displaced by the driver as 5.5 litres, so I'll start by trying a 9 litre (gross volume) back...

I think I can imagine how a complex, sophisticated presentation can be too "unnecessarily demanding", in lieu of a better phrase, in a long run in family life circumstances. I sometimes suffer similar problems (I imagine others too).

It goes quite flat to 20hz with the tapped horn. 20hz to 60hz with the tapped. It has 18db/octave Linkwitz-Riley, and then to dual Tad1601b, where you see the rising of the response around 74hz. I have tamed these bump some, but it needs a little mor...

How do you even time align a Klipschhorn to any other driver? This is one of Romys axioms and I see no solution with folded horns. I am surprised that it was even mentioned!...

I guess some audiophiles like me follow this site and they would like have a Good horn but they can not pay 750k$ For it.Horn DIY is not a simple project but i think i will put my effort to build a 4 way horn system because there is no other way....
